This Privacy Policy explains how Perks.Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit perks.media, my.perks.media, and any related subdomains or services we operate (collectively, the “Site”).

Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you place an order, sign up for our email list, download a free resource, leave a review, or contact us, you may give us your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and any other information you choose to share in a message.
Payment information. When you make a purchase, payment details are entered directly into our payment processors — GoDaddy Payments and Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Stripe and GoDaddy Payments process the payment under their own privacy practices, which we link to below.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:
- IP address and approximate location
- Device type, browser type, operating system, and screen size
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and referring URL
- Search terms used on the Site
- Whether you opened an email from us and which links you clicked

Information from third-party platforms. If you interact with us via social media, click an ad, or arrive from a search engine, we may receive limited information from those platforms (for example, the ad you clicked or the search engine you used).
How we use your information

- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets)
- Send marketing emails about new books, recipes, courses, and other content (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email)

For advertising platforms (Google and Meta), we send certain conversion events through server-to-server connections (Conversions API / Enhanced Conversions). This includes hashed email addresses and event details — never your password, full payment card, or other sensitive identifiers.
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense, but under some state privacy laws (California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and others), sharing data with advertising platforms may be considered a “sale” or “share.” You have the right to opt out — see “Your rights” below.
We may also share information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising. You can manage your cookie preferences using the cookie banner on the Site, by adjusting your browser settings, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in supported browsers. How long we keep your information
- Order records: at least 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to honor the unsubscribe
- Analytics data: typically 14 months in Google Analytics, then aggregated
- Customer service correspondence: typically 3 years
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we have about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information we hold about you
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email)
- Opt out of “sales” or “shares” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Withdraw consent for cookie tracking
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@perks.media with your request. We will respond within 30 days (45 days for California requests). We may need to verify your identity before we can act on a request.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact hello@perks.media.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EU/EEA/UK.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls for our admin systems. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are material, we’ll let you know via email or a prominent notice on the Site.
